(6-8 servings)
140 g Mummon mashed potato powder (or 140 g Mielihyvä potato flakes)
5 dl water
4 dl milk
1-2 tsp salt
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp syrup
3 dl cooking cream
0.5 g nutmeg
Bring 4 dl of water and 4 dl of milk to a boil in a pot. Add 1-2 tsp of salt and 2 tbsp of butter.
Add 1 dl of cold water.
Stir in about 140 g of Mummo’s mashed potato powder (or alternatively Mielihyvä potato flakes).
When the liquid has been absorbed, mix until smooth.
Add the syrup, cooking cream and nutmeg. Mix until smooth.
Pour the slightly loose mixture into a greased dish of about 2 liters. Leave plenty of room in the dish for boiling in the oven.
Add dabs of fat on top.
Bake in the oven at 175 degrees for about 1.5 hours.
